I have been browsing around AdminAddict and TheAdminZone forums, just looking in the threads for my daily browsing and I came across some great threads that I though you may be interested in/.
This then spurred me on to create a list of topics that I found interesting and that generated a buzz in their respected forum administrated community.
Some are wacky, some are controversial and some just deliver some great tips. Have a read at them and see what you think.
- Google Search In this thread members talk about their success rates with replacing the Forum search with Google Adsense search in hope of generating extra revenue from their forum. People are actually seeing better search results aswell as more income.
- Main Ban Reason This thread is all about the most used Ban reason on your forum. The most common reason seemed to be spam but there are a few wacky reasons.
- Forum Posting Games This discussion is all about pointless forum games that happen in forums. Some people let them stay other people delete them. There were some mixed feelings on this topic. Most people favoured to keep them on the site as find them great activity builders.
- Are forums in general just dying? The thread discusses how stable the Forum administration world is. People think that Forum’s are slowing dying off. Great topic!
- How do once popular forums fail? This discussion is about how active and popular forums can fail. Great advice for mistakes you want to avoid when running your forum.
- Can children be successful forum runners? A great topic on whether people find it acceptable for kids to be running a forum. A lot of mixed emotions in this topic.
